Savor the Flavors of Summer at the Taste of Olean What better way to celebrate summer than a food-filled walk in the park?

What better way to celebrate summer than a food-filled walk in the park? On Sunday, July 28, join Western New York as they flock to War Vets Park in the city of Olean for delicious food, great entertainment, and an all-around good time. With a smorgasbord of local specialties to sample, the Taste of Olean is perfect for avid foodies and picky eaters alike. A variety of small plates costing anywhere from 50 cents to $3 will be just enough to whet the taste buds. Exercise the food critic in you and discover delicacies that you never knew existed. The Taste of Olean is an ideal occasion for restaurants to try new dishes, as well as delight the crowd with classic mainstays. If you can’t make it to the Taste, plan a trip to the Olean area another time for a full dining experience at any of their established restaurants.

Art In the Park

This year’s Taste is accompanied by its long-time friend, Art in the Park. Hosted by the Tri-County Arts Council, this juried event is an opportunity for local artists to truly strut their stuff. With engaging displays and artists in action for you to enjoy, the event promises to be the perfect complement to the delicious local fare. Interact with the artists in residence as you leisurely stroll the grounds with munchies in hand.

Be on the lookout for entertainment hosted by the Olean Theatre Workshop with guest appearances by Olean High School performance groups and the Olean Community Theatre. The Jamestown Community College Alumni Association is also hosting a market where local goods such as honey, preserves, and delicious maple syrup can be purchased to take home. If you happen to have leftovers, Pampered Chef and Tupperware will be sponsoring booths with great deals on cookware and containers for the chef in all of us.
