Artists/Crafters: Explore the handmade wares of more than 60 artists and crafters along Main Street! Artist Kathy Chapman has a beautiful assortment of unique painted signs to brighten your home, including holiday-themed décor! House on the Hill Bath Therapies is your one-stop booth for a variety of heavenly-scented soaps and lotions that are made with natural ingredients that you’ll feel good about using. Don’t forget to bring your appetite to the festival! In addition to Peaches ‘n Cream’s fresh produce, potted flowers and hanging baskets, their festival booth will also be serving delicious Hershey’s ice cream! New for 2018, 3 Cs Catering’s Food Truck will be joining the food vendors. Step on up for a tasty treat: enjoy homemade macaroni and cheese, the BLT dog or their famous “Homewrecker Foot long” dog!
Family Activities: Bring your children (and your inner child) to the festival for a full day of fun! In addition to children’s activities provided at different booths throughout the festival, there are family-friendly activities all along Main Street! Help someone cool off on a hot day: Try your throwing arm at the ever-popular dunk tank, sponsored by Randolph Retail Company and Simply Natural Alpaca Gift Shop! Caricature artist Chris Schroeder of Erie, PA is looking forward to creating memories with your family with his smart sketches that are sure to make you smile. Learn how injured birds on the endangered species list are cared for and returned to the wild with Mark Baker, a federally licensed falconer and owner of Eagle Dream Rehabilitation. He will have many different live birds of prey on display including owls, falcons, hawks, and more!
Dog Show: It’s time to get your furry friend groomed and ready for the festival’s annual Dog Show! Dogs and their owners will march before a panel of judges and along Main Street for all vendors and festival-goers to enjoy. There are several different categories, ranging from the friendliest to the best-dressed pooch! Winners will receive certificate and prizes at the conclusion of the judging. Senn-sations Salon and Day Spa, located at 150 Main Street, is sponsoring the Beautiful Baby Contest! An annual favorite, the contest is open to all babies under the age of one. Salon owner Jennifer Senn and her stylists are looking forward to meeting the adorable entrants and their proud parents and grandparents; will your sweetie be crowned the Beautiful Baby King or Queen? EPAC: At 1:00 p.m., the dancers of Randolph’s Expressions Performing Arts Center will be performing at the intersection of Main and Bank Streets. The performance includes several choreographed numbers including high energy jazz/contemporary performances, hip hop routines, and an impressive tumbling routine right on Main Street! Expressions Performing Arts Center is located at 75 Main Street and offers classes year ‘round in ballet, tap, pom, tumbling, jazz, and more. Owner Melissa Anderson is excited to share the news that her dancers are currently preparing for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which they will be march in this year! You won’t want to miss their exciting performance, which is always a big hit among festival-goers.
Enter to Win!: New for 2018, festival-goers can enter to win a rustic-carved cardinal at the festival! This would make a great addition to one’s yard or patio. Tickets will be available during the festival for $2 each or 3 for $5. Are you in the market for a new mower this summer? Enter to win a John Deere D105 Riding Mower at the festival! Raffle tickets are on sale now at the following Randolph businesses: Cattaraugus County Bank, Community Bank, Randolph Auto Supply and the Randolph Municipal Building. Ticket prices are $5 each or 3 for $10. Tickets will be for sale during the festival at the RACDC information booth on the corner of Main and Bank Streets, and the winner will be drawn at the conclusion of the festival at 5:00 p.m. (need not be present to win). All ticket proceeds benefit the RACDC, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
Creative Cardinals! Cardinals carry a special meaning for Randolph, as the cardinal is the mascot of Randolph Central School’s three-time championship winning varsity football team. Share your creative side by entering the festival’s hand-made, hand-crafted cardinal contest, sponsored by the Randolph Area Community Development Corporation! Use your imagination and any materials to create a cardinal; all entries must be submitted at the festival by 9:30 a.m. that morning. Festival-goers will vote on their favorite cardinal and the winner will be announced at 5:00 p.m. at the conclusion of the festival! Visit Inkley’s Pharmacy & Gift Shop at 113 Main Street for their great selection of gifts, jewelry, cards and toys. Just a few doors down, Randolph Retail Company carries a beautiful variety of women’s fashions, including dresses, scarves, purses, jewelry and other accessories. New this spring, Randolph Retail Company now carries a variety of 18” doll clothing and accessories, as well as an assortment of 15” baby doll clothing! Venture to the back of Randolph Retail Company to Creating Keepsake, owner Vicki Reding’s painting and framing studio. MJ’s is home of the delicious “Smasher burger,” spicy mac ‘n cheese, and a tasty Sunday morning breakfast! Grab a bite inside or on the deck and enjoy singer/songwriter Brian Hannah, who is performing at MJ’s at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 17.
