The Benefits of CBD Extract

Cannabis sativa, aka Hemp, is one of three species of the Cannabis genus herbaceous plant indigenous to central Asia and India. It contains 85 different chemical compounds, with cannabidiol (CBD) being a very important constituent. CBD accounts for 40% of the plant’s extract but does not have the intoxicating, psychoactive effects that tetrahydrocannibinol (THC) has on the body. Cannabis sativa is cultivated to grow longer stalks and lower THC. The fiber from these stalks can be used in over 25,000 different ways, including pressing CBD oil out of them. A carbon dioxide cold press technique at low temperatures is used to produce our specific CBD oil. This process is non-toxic and, once at room temperature, the CO2 evaporates out of the CBD oil, producing a PURE and effective extract. Scientific studies have shown many positive health benefits of CBD-only extract, legalized in 44 states.
How do Cannabinoids Work? The human body has an Endocannabinoid system including endocannabinoids produced by our own bodies, enzymes that create and destroy the endocannabinoid compounds and the endocannabinoid receptors on our cells. These receptors accept endocannabinoids and plant-derived cannabinoids (aka phytocannabinoids), such as CBD, THC, CBN (cannabinol) and CBG (cannabigerol). Biochemical reactions occur in the body once these compounds make contact with the receptors. There are two known cannabinoid receptor subtypes: CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are found mostly in the central nervous system but also in your main detoxification organs: lungs, kidneys and liver. CB2 receptors are found in the immune system, nervous system and the stem cells.  THC bonds to the CB1 receptors, accounting for its psychoactive effects on the brain. CBD bonds to the CB2 receptors, strengthening the immune, nervous and blood systems.
